

Born December 5, 1922 in Hutchinson, Kansas and passed away November 24, 2011 in Federal Way, Washington. He met his high school sweetheart, Audrey Williamson and they married after Gerald served in the U.S Army during World War II. During the war Gerald was stationed in North Africa. He and and Audrey were married for 60 years and raised 3 children. In 1950 Gerald went to work for Boeing and retired in 1987. He was a computer programmer and was involved in many projects within the company. During retirement he enjoyed woodworking, carving, knitting, and puzzles. Gerald is preceded in death by his wife Audrey. He is survived by his daughter; Mickie Pittman, sons; Albert Wayne Sumner, and Robert Lee Sumner, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 younger brother Marion Sumner. Memorial Services will be held, 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Price-Helton Funeral Home, 702 Auburn Way N Auburn, WA 98002. Inurnment services will be scheduled at Tahoma National Cemetery.
