

Kenneth C. Norsby was born June 19, 1938 to Clarence J. and Sophie Mae Norsby at Glenburn, ND. He died at the age of seventy eight on September 8, 2016, peacefully at his home. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Glenburn, ND. In 1961 he was drafted into the army and served thru 1963 and then active reserve until 1967. On May 2, 1964, Ken was united in marriage to Marilyn M. Pedersen and from that union came a daughter, Julie Mae in October 1965. Ken worked as a warehouse worker and supervisor in Fargo, ND until 1968 when the family moved to Washington State where he worked at Sears for 18 years. From there he worked for Boeing as a machinist until he retired in 2001. He was well known for his friendly nature who would talk to anyone, his excellent work ethic, and always ready to help others. He always called himself an old farm dog. His greatest joy was his family and love for his wife, daughter Julie, and two grandchildren Morgan and Mitchell. He especially enjoyed Christmas dinner helping prepare the food and serving it for family. Ken is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughter Julie (Kenny Day), and granddaughter Morgan (Connor Akiyama) and grandson Mitchell. He is also survived by two brothers Richard (Carol) and Raymond (Janet) and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Sophie Norsby and baby brother Gordon, two brothers in law and one sister in law.
Family requests memorials to be given to Alzheimer’s Association or Cancer Society.
