

Leonora (Maring) Ferreria Baguio was born as Teodora Ferreria January 25, 1927 in Pabla San Quintin Pangasinan, Phillipines. She is preceded by her Father Arsenio Ferreria; mother Raymunda Gago; sister Rosalyna Sadac, nee Ferreria; Gloria Ferreria; Orlanda Ferreria; Esperanza De Luna, nee Ferreria; brother Martin Ferreria and husband Joe B. Baguio.
Lenore is survived by her son Joseph Ferreria Baguio and daughter-in-law Carmen Baguio, nee Edwards from Collierville, TN, sister Mely G. Peralta nee Ferreria in Bulacan Philippines; sister Aurora Smith, nee Ferreria from Olympia, WA; brother Doming Ferreria from Pacific, WA; grand-daughters: Holly Baguio, Elea Baguio, Stephanie Baguio, Lauren Hall, Rachel Hall and grand-son David Baguio.
Teodora known amongst her family and classmates as Leonora married Joe Baguio October 4, 1965 in Pasay City, Philippines and soon immigrated to the United States. They settled in the farm valley of Sumner, Washington. Along with her husband, they became one of the many hard working truck farmers/owners in the valley of Western Washington encompassing Puyallup, Sumner, Fife, Pacific, Auburn, Kent and Renton Washington. Upon her husband’s death August 16, 1973, she strove to keep the truck farming business operating and raise her only son Joseph Baguio who was 5-years old. She received help from friends and family comprising of George and Esther Ferreria and their children: George, Francis, Dayna, Theresa, Faith, Immaculate and her brother Doming Ferreri and his children Brenda, Ferdinand and Arsenio Ferreria. Along with the extended family she grew rhubarb, pumpkins, garlic, shallots, onions, potatoes corn, pole beans, squash, snow peas, cucumbers, carrots and beets. She was well renowned for braiding ropes of garlic up to 6 feet long and the sweetest corn that only the dark rich valley top soil could produce.
She retired from truck farming in 2000 and tended to small gardens near her home in Pacific, WA.
As a devout Roman Catholic she was a great admirer of Saint Jude and regularly supported Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital and numerous Roman Catholic charities.
