Miriam J. Feierabend

“Joyce” was born on December 13, 1927 to Rev. Charles and Ida Moore. As she loved to say, she was born in Indiana, raised in Montana, moved to Grey Eagle, Minnesota where she married Rodney Feierabend in 1954. They moved to Seattle where they raised their son, Donald and daughter, Cynthia.

Joyce was a dedicated mother who was very involved in PTA at Wing Luke Elementary School, South Shore Middle School, and Rainier Beach High School in Seattle. She held many jobs in her life, including work in the typing pool at the Mayo Clinic, State Farm and Pacific Medical Center.

Joyce was preceded in death by Rodney on May 11, 2005. She is survived by her son, Donald Feierabend and his wife Pamela, grandchildren Timothy and Daniel of Federal Way, WA; daughter, Cynthia Johnson and her husband Robin, grandchildren Stefan, Brandon and Courtney Feierabend of Kalama, WA. She is also survived by her brother, Phil Moore and his wife Nancy of Pinehurst, NC and sister-in-law, Dorothy Weber of Puyallup, WA.

Joyce, along with her husband Rodney will be interred later this year in Lakeview Cemetery located in Grey Eagle, MN, next to her father. There will be a private gathering to celebrate her life this summer.
