Paul Homer Smith

9/13/23-2/9/11 Grew up in Cle Elum, WA, and served in the Army (Europe) where he received the bronze star and good conduct awards. Then married Betty Butts (deceased). Together, they raised four children; Loyd Smith (Sumner), Caroll Boles (Ellensburg), Daniel Smith (deceased), and Janet Van (Sumner). Paul was a resident in Auburn for 50 years. He was a career carpenter, served as president of the local carpenters union, and later worked for the E.P.A. and also volunteered at the Auburn Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, casino games, and spending time with his family. He is survived by 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Celebration of life services will be held at Price Helton Funeral Home, 702 Auburn Way N. Auburn, WA on Thursday 2/17/11 @ Noon. Viewing to be held from 9am-Noon.
