

Born February 5, 1928 in Augusta, Georgia and passed away July 16, 2011 in Maple Valley, Washington. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. While he was at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital he met his future wife, Margaret. They married in May 1952. They later moved to Oakland, California. He attended Junior College. Robert worked for Biggie Trucking for many years and retired in 1980. He enjoyed fishing, traveling in their trailer, boating, and camping at Mount Shasta. Robert will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Margaret Way, daughter; Barbara (Matthew) Landers, 2 grandchildren; Megan Landers, and Brian Landers as well as his sister Annette Rawlins. A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, July 26th at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission in Seattle.
