Theresa (Smith) Patrick

Theresa Kathleen (Smith) Patrick, a long time resident of Kent, died suddenly of natural causes at her home on Monday, Dec 29, 2014. The eighth child, she was born on May 18, 1963 in Detroit to James and Dorothea (Shaffer) Smith. She attended Kentridge High School and later received certification for Traffic Control Supervision, Asbestos Abatement and Concrete Placement. Theresa is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Paul Patrick. A beloved sister of Dale R. (Brenda), Patricia A (Kyli), Marlene K. Meyer (Cecil), Mary B. Gleason (Dan), Dorothea C. Fitzsimmons (Mike), and James R. (Stephanie); also 3 nieces and 7 nephews; 7 great-nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, brother’s Terry J. & Christopher J, and sister Marie D. Smith. Theresa had a special zest for life and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, hosting parties, outdoor sporting activities, camping, travel, and planning special surprises for her adoring husband. Visitation will be Tuesday Jan. 6, 2015 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM, and Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM, at Price-Helton Funeral Chapel, 702 Auburn Way North, Auburn, Wa. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn with a reception to follow.
