Alice spent much of her working life as a custodian for Polk County, where she was known for her reliability and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in crocheting and caring for her plants and flowers. She was a generous person by nature, always willing to give of her time and talents to others.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Cooper (Stephanie), Jerry Cooper, and David Cooper. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Johnathan Cooper, Jordan Cooper, and Jerry Cooper Jr. (Donlee); her great-grandchildren, Jerrison W. Cooper and Rosalee R. Cooper; as well as two sisters and one brother.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Orin Sherman and Ruth Miller, as well as husbands Charles Gibson and Frank Cline.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Alice’s memory.
A visitation will be held on January 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, located at 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, Florida, 33823.
The funeral service will follow at the same location at 12:00 pm.
Alice will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
