Bernice is my grandmother. She was unlike any other grandmother out there. She always had time to spend with me. She was a bit spicy at times. She had true grit...it's a Southern Lady thing. She taught me so much in life. Mostly how to stand my ground when the situation was right. She wanted me to grow up to be a great woman. With all my heart I have loved her from the moment I first saw her...Day 1! She was not only my granny she was also my best friend and someone who best understood me. We meshed very well together. As I sit and think of things I would change about her.... I always come up empty handed. She is so important to me...and I know she is even more important to God. This is where I find so much comfort. I'm trying to wait patiently for my heart to heal but time isn't coming fast enough. One day I will be able to think of all the memories but right now it's one step at a time. I thank Heavenly Father for allowing me to be her granddaughter and friend.
