She explored a wide array of passions—from playing the organ, acting in plays, attending Davy Jones concerts, to line dancing with friends. After many dedicated years of service with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Ellie enjoyed a well-earned retirement alongside her husband, Barry Berger, in Lake Wales.
She is remembered by her family, including her husband, Barry; sister, Constance; son, Eric; and stepchildren, Barvie and Anna.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she is now at rest, embraced by peace and light.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lake Ashton Health and Fitness Center, located at 6052 Pebble Beach Blvd, Winter Haven, Florida, 33884. The event is scheduled for January 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
