

Etta was united in marriage to Robert M. Porterfield on March 21, 1982. She was a graduate of high school and went on to build a respected career marked by leadership and compassion. She served as a Certified Unit Secretary and Head of the Oncology Department at SWFL Community Hospital and later led the Medicare Billing Department for Pharm America.
A woman of deep faith, Etta was actively involved in several churches throughout her life, including Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Fort Myers, First Assembly of God Lake Alfred, and Eagle Lake First Assembly of God. She loved painting, writing stories and plays for church, and serving in ministry work, including missionary outreach efforts abroad.
Etta is survived by her loving children: Robert E. Hensel and wife Ruth Ann, John R. Hensel and wife Frances, Ralph F. Hensel and wife Joan, Marsha L. Manier, Melodi H. Ross and husband Michael, and Carla M. Porterfield. She also leaves behind her sister -in-law, Bertha Eutsey, her cherished grandchildren: Ryan, Chris, John Michael, Heather, Christa, and Jonathan, great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, along with her brother Ray Eutsey and wife Audrey, nieces Michelle Eutsey Tantlinger and husband Von, Melissa Eutsey Tessler and husband Patrick, several beloved nieces and nephews to include Keith and Kevin Campbell, Robert, Harry, and Malisa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Porterfield; her sister Carolyn F. Ray and brother-in-law Michael Ray; her brother Harry E. Eutsey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Etta will be remembered for her strong faith, generous heart, creative spirit, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy of service and devotion will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
