Winter haven – Mr. Leroy king, age 76, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 due to cancer. He was born September 19, 1934 in Hayhira, GA the son of Benjamin Franklin and Pearl Mae (Walling) King. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp serving during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ann King, brother Lloyd and sister Lucille. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Cronin (Stephen) of Auburndale, FL, brother Leland King (Clara) of Eagle Lake, FL, sisters Leila Pinkerton (Ross) of Winter Haven and Lois Schrader of Los Angeles, CA, half-brother Leighton, half-sisters Lenora and Lavada, grandson Jacob Jones (Tanya), great grandchildren, Jenna Jones, Zachary Ison and Jarred Ison.
Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8pm at Ott-Laughlin at Glen Abbey. Funeral services are Wednesday at 3:30 pm at the funeral home chapel.
