

Lorena Salt Howe, 98, passed away on July 10, 2024 in Auburndale, Florida. She was born August 6, 1925 in Hampton, Virginia. Lorena attended Reading High School. She worked as a bank teller. Lorena loved reading her Bible and going to church. She attended Lakes Church in Auburndale. Lorena married Donald A. Salt on October 30, 1953 who predeceased her on March 02, 1994. She also married Richard N. Howe on February 6, 1996 who predeceased her on May 22, 2007.
Lorena is survived by her daughter, Patricia “Patti” and her husband, Wayne, of Auburndale, a step daughter, Fern Jutras of New York, a brother, Jim Davenport of Parkville, Maryland; four grandchildren: James Watkins, Micah Watkins, Mia Rees, and Ashley Bodzin; eight great grandchildren: Daelon Watkins, Kinsey Watkins, Aivery Watkins, Aiden Rees, Joelle Rees, Elijah Rees, Landon Rees, and Kaia Rees, and a great-great grandson, Pearce Watkins. She was preceded in death by her husbands as well as her two sisters, Evelyn Davenport and Louise Franke, and her mother, Lorena Davenport.
A celebration of Lorena’s life will be held on Sunday, July 14th at 4:00 p.m. at Lakes Church Auburndale Campus. A graveside service will be scheduled at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 West Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Lakes Church, Auburndale, FL or Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center in Lakeland, FL.
