Maria M Marcano Pimentel

Nacida en Canovanas el 1 de julio de 1937 y criada en Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. Era hija de Saturnino Marcano y Digna Pimentel.

María disfrutaba de estar con su familia y amistades y le gustaba viajar. No importaba el destino, ella estaba lista para ir. Ella comenzó a perder la vista desde hace 30 años atrás y poco a poco comenzó a necesitar ayuda de sus familiares. Ella reconocía la voz de las personas cuando le hablaban. Ella mostró una inmensa cantidad de amor a los que estaban cerca de ella. María era una mujer amorosa, cariñosa y maravillosa. Ella siempre fue amable con sus vecinos y ayudó a muchas personas a lo largo de sus años. Maria tuvo sus defectos y virtudes como cualquier ser humano. Pero conocio la grandeza de Dios que la ayudo a seguir su camino, hacia la vida eterna con Jesucristo su salvador.

El mundo perdió a una persona increíble, pero el cielo ganó un hermoso ángel. Nuestra vida no será igual sin ella.

A María le sobreviven su hermana Ana Marcano Pimentel, 5 hijos, Pedro Luis Gotay Marcano (Evelyn), Madeline Gotay Marcano, Iris Gotay Marcano, Rafael Gotay Marcano (Yaritza), Carmen Nydia Gotay Marcano (Osvaldo), 22 nietos, 37 bisnietos y 8 tataranietos.

Maria Marcano Pimentel known more so as “Donã Cucã” (88) of Canovanas, Puerto Rico passed away peacefully and entered eternal rest on December 5, 2025.

Born in Canovanas on July 1, 1937 and raised in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Saturnino Marcano and Digna Pimentel.

Maria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling. No matter the destination she was ready to go. She started losing her sight around 30 years ago requiring assistance from her family members. But she always knew who you were and showed an immense amount of love knowing you were close to her. Maria was a loving, caring and a wonderful woman. She was always kind to her neighbors and helped many people throughout her years. Maria had her defects and virtuous like all human beings, but she met the grandiosity of God that helped her to continue her path to an eternal life in Jesus Christ. The world lost an amazing person but heaven gained a beautiful Angel. The world is less of a place without her.

Maria is survived by her sister Ana Marcano Pimentel, 5 children, Pedro Luis Gotay Marcano (Evelyn), Madeline Gotay Marcano, Iris Gotay Marcano, Rafael Gotay Marcano (Yaritza), Carmen Nydia Gotay Marcano (Osvaldo), 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
