Melody was born on December 27, 1962 in Bartow, Florida to Betty and Thomas King of Winter Haven. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas and son-in-law, Adam, who both passed away in May of 2021. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Ashley; granddaughter, Ava; mother, Betty; siblings: Sissy (Thomas) and Jeff (Darla); as well as many nieces and nephews and her long-time partner, Jim.
Melody touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those she encountered feel important and special. She loved to travel and visit new places. Perhaps her happiest moments were spent on road trips with family and friends, making memories that will forever live in our hearts. She always saw the best in others and would do whatever she could to help out those in need, even when many times she was the one that needed help the most.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 12th at 11:00am at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823.
