Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Evie Boles Giddens, and his father, Rodis Clifton Walker.
He is survived by his loving sons, Ryan Clayton Walker and Derek Clifton Walker. He also leaves behind his daughters-in-law, Stephanie Lewis and Christina Walker, and his cherished grandchildren, Weston and Hazel.
Rex was a devoted father and proud grandfather, a loyal friend to many, and a familiar face throughout the Winter Haven community. Known for his big personality, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor, Rex had a way of lighting up any room he entered. He loved telling jokes, spending time with friends, and staying connected with everyone around him. His social nature and larger-than-life presence made him well known and loved by many.
Rex had a special way of bringing people together with his personality and his familiar call of “ALL RISE!” — a phrase that became part of who he was and will forever echo in the memories of those who loved him.
A skilled tradesman specializing in millwork, Rex was a natural leader on job sites. He took pride in his work and in teaching others, generously passing along his knowledge to younger generations.
Outside of work, Rex found peace and joy on the water. He loved his airboat and spending time outdoors, embracing every moment he could under the Florida sky.
Rex will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
