Wanda Carol Greene

Wanda Greene, age 79, of Auburndale, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, in Lake Wales, Florida, surrounded by her loving family, after an extended illness. She was born on March 20, 1945, in Lake Alfred, Florida, Wanda lived a life dedicated to her family, faith, and community. Wanda worked at State Farm for over 15 years and served as a devoted secretary at the Orange Street Church of Christ. Her warm presence and unwavering commitment touched the lives of many.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Lee Wheeler and Bertha Lee Walling Wheeler, as well as her sisters Juanita Wheeler Romine Detrick, Thelma Lee, Jean Argo, Dorothy Green, and her brother James Walter Wheeler. She is survived by her loving husband, John Greene; her sister, Ora Lee Skinner; her three children, Tammy (Bruce) Amidon, Jason (Tina) Greene, and Regina (Jack) Pinckert; nine grandchildren, Tiffani Thrace, Victor (Sydney) Amidon, Nathan (Zulmelbi) Amidon, Ben Amidon, Janaka Greene, Justin (Laura) Greene, Olivia and Liam Alexander Pinckert, Elizabeth (Matt) Hebert; and four great grandchildren, Hannah Greene, Chloe Amidon, Guin and Lilly Hebert.

Wanda's gentle spirit, kindness, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother "Nana," who always had wisdom and sass to share with those she loved.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Orange Street Church of Christ, 310 Orange Street, Auburndale FL 33823 with a service following at 10:30 AM. A graveside service will be held at Walling Cemetery in Spencer, TN on Monday, June 3rd at 2 PM.
