

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Antonio B. Caparoso, Jr., passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at his home. He donated his time to many local charities within the CSRA for over 30 years as both a Magician , Tony the Great and Capbo the Clown. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Magicians, having served as Past President of the SC Association of Magicians regional branch. Mr.Caparoso retired after over twenty years of faithful service with the United States Army. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a recipient of a Bronze Star. Cappy was a loving husband to his wife of 57 years, Magdalina Caparoso; proud father to his six children, Delia (Matthias) Malia, Antoinette (Robert) Thomas, Daniele Ann (Nicholas) DeMartinis, David (Jeannie) Caparoso, Lei-Anna (Dean) Bettencourt, and Antonio Borga (Jennifer) Caparoso III; two sisters, Anita and Clarita; one brother, Fred; six grandchildren, Tara, Nichole, Sarah, Dylan, Noah and Sophia Joyce; and two great-grandchildren, Marissa and Brendan. A celebration of Cappy's life will be held 5 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2012 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
