Calvin Cardell Davis

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 3pm at Flowing Wells Worship Center with Pastor Bobby Renew officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Tabb, Jason Owens, Daniel Owens, Chad Newton, Phillip Free, Justin Dorris, Michael Moseley, and Nick Snyder.

A lifelong resident of Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary McClain Davis. Calvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a retired roofer and loved doing carpentry work.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Grace Tabb Davis, children, Paula (Travis) Washington, Shannon “Christie” (Tim) Bishop, Karen Phillips, Calvin “Buck” (Ashley) Davis, Jr., Travis Davis, siblings, sisters, Sarah Poole, Geraldine Davis, Mary Ann Kimbrell, brothers, Henry “Buddy” Davis, Johnny Davis, Wayne Newsome, grandchildren, Chasity, Charity, Brittany, Savannah, Austin, Adam, and Brayden.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 6-8pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta and on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 2pm until the hour of service at the church.
