Dorothy JoAnne "Jo" Howell

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Born in Reform, AL, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mamie Lou McGahey Langdon. She moved to Augusta forty eight years ago and was a homemaker. Jo enjoyed cooking, shopping, and attending Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty three years, James R. Howell. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Moody and her husband Steve, son, Edwin Howell all of Augusta, sisters, Geraldine Hooten, Cedarville, OH; Linda Goodman, Butler, AL; grandchildren, Justin S. Moody and his girlfriend Lauren West, Jennifer H. Lackes and her mother Jenny Howell , great grandchildren, Sarah Lackes, Miranda Lackes, Amanda Randolph, special niece, Regina Godfrey, and special nephew, Ralph Capps.
