Erby Gene Garrett

Erby is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Garrett; his parents, Zack and Flora Garrett and his 4 siblings.

Erby is survived by his beloved Eyra Sutton; his children, Terry Cieniewicz (Timothy) and Michael Garrett (Tonya); his grandchildren, Nicholas Garrett (Holly), Matthew Scott Cieniewicz (Stephanie), Timothy Ryan Cieniewicz (Tina) and Frank Thomas Cieniewicz; his great-grandchildren, Blake Scott Cieniewicz, Zachary Gene Cieniewicz, Reese Monroe Cieniewicz, Audrey Lynn Cieniewicz and Kaiden Thomas Cieniewicz and several nieces and nephews.

Erby was a member of Burns Memorial Methodist Church for the last several years. He was a retired LPN from the United States Army. He was known around town as the "Computer Man" because he would always fix computers. He was a kind and helpful man. He was a loving companion, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He is gone from in front of us, but his memory will be treasured forever.

A visitation for Erby will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 4 pm until 6 pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home at 2524 Lumpkin Road Augusta, GA. On Friday, May 30, 2025 at 1 pm, a funeral service for Mr. Garrett will be held in the Chapel at Elliott Sons Funeral Home followed by a committal service at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2700 Deans Bridge Road Augusta, GA.
