

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 2pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, North Augusta, SC with Rev. James Glander officiating. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 1pm at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL.
Born in Shawano, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late William Malueg and Agnes Martha Keller Malueg. She lived in various cities before moving to the Augusta area in 1993. She was a retired nurse from the VA Medical Center in Augusta. Florence did volunteer work with the Red Cross while living in Panama City, Fl. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in North Augusta. She loved to travel, sew, crotchet, garden, and work in her flowers. Florence crotched hats for the new born at University Hospital and children with cancer at Georgia State Health System. She was a very loving and giving person, but most of all she loved her family and the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore V. Marcu, Sr. , children, Gary John Marcu, Warren “Woody” Nicholas Marcu, Kathy Marcu Ziakos, five sisters, and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Alaine (Russell) Bethune, Clarks Hill, SC, Theodore Marcu, Jr., Port Murray, NJ; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 5-7pm, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Chapel, Augusta, GA.
