He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, fishing, and lived an active lifestyle. He adored his family and getting to spend time with them.
Mr. Benhart is preceded in death by his father, Frank Benhart and sister, Janet Ann Turner. Survivors include his mother, Elisabeth Benhart; sister, Helen Baker of Jacksonville, Florida and her family; brothers, Henry Benhart of Gainesville, GA and his family; Horst Benhart of Aulander, NC and his family and many other family and friends who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, GA.
