Mrs. Gerlinde Rosa Jauregui, 73, of Augusta, GA passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at her residence. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11am in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Born in Germany, she lived in various cities before moving to Augusta in 1968. She retired after 33 years of service from the AFFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Services) at Fort Gordon and was a member of the German American Club, and retired AFFES Club. She enjoyed bowling, working in her garden, and planning flowers. Gerlinde was a very caring person. Her passion in life was to take care of animals. She is survived by her husband, James Jauregui and brother, Gunter Lumpp. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
