Hilton "Flip" Timmons

Flip loved his family and was very passionate about animals. He was a loyal, devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He never put anything above his family. Flip will be missed by his family and beloved pets. He loved working at SRS and said that he had the best crew and friends on site. Flip was a member of Curtis Baptist Church and also attended North Augusta First Baptist Church.

Flip is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Betty Timmons; and brother, Buz Timmons. Survivors include his loving wife, Julie Timmons; daughter, Dr. Scarlett Timmons-Spangler (Stephen); sisters, Kit Gadd (Dave), and Carlene Hand (Tom); father-in-law, Hadden Shephard; mother-in-law, Lulah Shephard; and nieces, Mary Azar, Bianca Sherrer; nephew, Brett Busbee; and beloved pets, Coco, Chico, Bandit, Cherry, Tiny, Ragnar, Maddie, Dolly, and Scrappy.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Pallbearers who will honor Flip are Cliff Chancey, Dave Gadd, Tom Hand, Brett Busbee, Tony Williams and Brian Yongue.
