
Mrs. Hortense Dee Worley was called to her Father's Home on February 11, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 3pm at Blythe United Methodist Church with Rev. Thurman J. Norville, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private. Mrs. Worley was born in Swainsboro, GA on October 12, 1928, but lived in Augusta the majority of her life. She worked for Keller Aluminum for 25 years before retiring where she was known simply as Worley. She enjoyed spending time with her family and could always be counted on by all. She attended Blythe United Methodist Church until illness prevented her presence in church, but not her faith in her Lord. Dee enjoyed fishing and working her puzzle books. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delos and Emma Douglas; her husband, Joe Worley; three brothers, Ivy Douglas, James Douglas, Homer Douglas; sister, Myrtice Davis; and her step-son, Bobby Worley. Survivors include her daughter, Pauline (Ronald) Stark; her son, Joseph R. (Phyllis) Worley; and step-daughter, Betty Foxworth; five granddaughters, Fran (Bill) Pfeiffer, Angie Coffey and companion Mike Cannington; Emma Muncy and companion Rita Randall; Alicia (John) Cadle and Donna Worley; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Coffey, Brittany Ballenger, Maison Ballenger, Kallie Lane, Candance Manning, and Gavin Manning; and three great-great-grandchildren, Andraya Garcia, Cristian Garcia, and Elena Arias; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blythe United Methodist Church, 317 Church Street, Blythe, Georgia 30805 or Susan G. Komen for the Cure , P. O.
