Augusta-Mr. Irvin “Bill” Williams Jr. beloved husband of Mrs. Lillian Williams entered into rest on Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Rd. Chapel with Pastor Timothy Pendrey officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Rd.
Mr. Williams was a lifelong native of Augusta. He was an Army veteran, and had retired as a Welder with Hamburg Industries.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly Best and Annette Williams, a sister, Jackie Moore. In addition to his wife survivors include his children, Esther Williams, Debra Hanley, Christine Screws, Steve Irvin Williams, as well as his two granddaughters who he raised as his own, Misty Hanley and Melissa Moore. His Sister, Angela Thompson, 9-grandchildren, and 11-great-grandchildren.
