AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Marian B. Henry, 78, of Augusta, GA passed away on January 20, 2013 at Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2pm at Lumpkin Road Baptist Church with Pastor Don Stone and Rev. Dr. Danny Burnley officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Calvary Sunday School Class. Mrs. Henry was born in Thomson. She lived in various cities and countries before moving back to Augusta in 1981. She was the daughter of the late Wiley Burnley and Helen Wells Burnley. She was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church where she was active in the Calvary Sunday School Class. Marian was a prayer warrior. She loved to send cards for various occasions and call on the sick. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed spending time with her 6 cats and 2 dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Tootie Burnley, and Jimmie Little Jimmie Burnley. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Henry, children, Troy (Jo Ann) Henry, Hoschton, GA; Donna (Steve) Watkins, Hephzibah, GA, Debra (Dale) Thompson, Augusta, GA, David (Melissa) Henry, Augusta, GA; Hai (Huong) Henry, San Jose, CA; Linda (Linh) Henry, New Haven, CT, sister, Wylene (Billie) Inman, brothers, Sonny Burnley, Tommy (Tommie Ann) Burnley, Rev. Dr. Danny (Lavern) Burnley, sister-in-law, Jane Ellen Worth, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and special friend of the family, Brittny Smith. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6-8pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta.
