Martha Eva Reynolds

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 11am at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 1134 Telfair St, Augusta with Rev. Jimmy Coyle officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at West View Cemetery with full military honors.

Born in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mr. B. Frank Reynolds and Mrs. Nellie Hurst. She was a retired Staff Sergeant in the US Army where upon she received several commendations for outstanding service. Upon her retirement from service, she worked for University Hospital as a Unit Clerk where she retired in 1997. Martha was a kind, loving, compassionate, and generous person. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC and sang in their choir, although as she stated “sometimes off key.”

She leaves behind her faithful kitty, Dinky; her cousins, Mrs. Dot Rosier, Mrs. Elizabeth Thigpen, Pat and Ben Bush, and her dear friends Sam and Mitzi Williams.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the SPCA, 1175 Highway 23 NW Suite 109, U.S. 23, Suwanee, GA 30024.
