Deb was a registered nurse with high standards, having been head of nursing at several Denver medical facilities. More recently she developed research protocols for the testing of new therapeutic drugs. After receiving the devastating diagnosis of PH, she was determined to live her life to the fullest in the time she had. Deb was a woman who was bold in her expressions of love and strong minded in her standards and expectations. Despite bad judgments and wrong turnings in her life, she always loved her family – her partner, her children and grandchildren. Her strength, perseverance and sense of humor have been shining examples for us all.
She is survived by her partner of 23 years, Elizabeth Alcon; her children, DeAnn Jones, Stephanie Mayer and Robert Barber and her grandchildren, Tahjae, Tahkiev, Tahvia, Nathaniel, Andrew, Grace, Rose and Michael as well as her brother, Ken Ruge.
