Kenneth C. Merritts Jr., 76, of Aurora, Colorado. Passed away on April 4, 2021. He was born on August 18, 1944 to loving parents Kenneth C. Merritts and Ida Mae Merritts and had 5 siblings; Richard, Dean, Dale, Sam and Barbara.

He was married to Marta G. Merritts on May 12, 1967. Together they had Kenneth C. Merritts III, Cecilia I. Merritts, Patrick J. Merritts and Christopher M. Merritts.

Kenneth had a career and retired in the United States Air Force, after that he worked in Communications at St. Josephs. He had a passion for fishing, playing cards, sight seeing and nature watching.

He is survived by devoted and loving wife Marta; daughter Ceci; sons Christopher and Ken; grandchildren Morgan, Michael, Lauren, Gillian and Chris.

He is proceeded in death by his 5 siblings Richard, Dean, Dale, Sam and Barbara; and loving son Patrick Merritts.

Although I never had the honor of meeting Mr. Merritts, I feel as though I had known him through the relationship my oldest brother had with Kenneth. I am so saddened for your loss at this time. I weep and grieve with you all. Death is a part of life itself. Our lives on earth are so very, very brief. May the God of our Salvation, Jesus Christ, bring comfort to you all. Amen.

The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this.
