Louise was born and raised in a small fishing village in Newfoundland, Canada. After attending a traditional Catholic school, she joined the Royal Canadian Navy where she served as a medic. While serving, she met, and married, John Hendrickson, a member of the United States Air Force. They then moved to New York where she had her first two children: Gregory and Douglas. After serving in New York, John and Louise moved to Colorado where they had their last two children: Anthony (Charles) and John. The family then traveled through Europe while John was stationed in Germany. In 1969, they moved back to the United States and settled in Aurora, Colorado. Later in life she started a career at the Finance Center until she retired in 1991. She is survived by her four sons, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
