(1960 - 2018)
Mark Foster was born April 28, 1960 at March Air Force Base in Riverside County, California to Shirley and Donald Foster. He went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2018.
He grew up with his four siblings: Dawn, Terri, Debbie and Brian. He spent three years of his early childhood in Okinawa and was raised in a military household. Upon returning to the US, his father was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in the Denver Area. The family moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1969, where Mark lived the rest of his life. He graduated from Aurora Central High School in Aurora, Colorado in 1978.
Shortly after high school, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. But after a period of time, he became stable and was a successful and productive member of society. He worked for Aurora Mental Health for over 10 years. He never married or had children, but he was an awesome uncle to nine nieces and nephews, whom he adored as if they were his own.
Despite the circumstances, he always maintained a positive attitude and outlook on life. He had a loving nature, helped others, and was a gentle giant. He had a vast knowledge of and love for music, and he especially loved the drums. He had a strong faith and was a devoted member of Living Hope Community Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister Debbie. Because of his deep faith and his trust in the Lord, we know he rests peacefully with his Heavenly Father and his family and friends who have gone on before him. He will be dearly missed, but we look forward to our eventual joyous reunion with him. “Take It Easy,” Mark.
