Not many people other than first responders and medical workers can say they for sure saved a life. Our son, Keith, would not be with us today had Mike not been walking in a park on that June day in 1977, and willing to act when Keith’s friend told Mike that Keith had disappeared into a pond.

Mike waded into the deep, muddy water, stumbled on Keith’s lifeless body, and took him to shore. Staff at Aurora Community Hospital got Keith’s heart going and he was flown to Children’s Hospital for an extended stay.

Thank you, Mike. Rest in Peace. We can never repay you.

Mike was a Master Gardner and could grow vegetables and fruits and flowers... His backyard was a work of art. I've seen many botanic gardens around the country but none of them was as magnificent as his.  Mike was a wonderful teacher and didn't hesitate to teach me what I needed to know about gardening.
He was a loving father and family man and a wonderful friend for me.
I think of Mike carving out a piece of heaven and planting for all the Saints and Angels.

Being in the band in High School with you was the Best job I ever had in my life. Spending hours on an old phonograph, until we figured the song out, and then showing Eric and Pat what to do. We had a great band (beating people like Tommy Bolin and Zepher, among others, in a battle of the bands at Denver High School Stadium in 1972), and we were busy all the time.
I was honored to be your best man at your wedding and I consider you to be my oldest and best friend, eventhough there are many miles between us.

Back in the day, Mike and I would share a beer, watch his beloved Bears, and talk about music. We even put a roof on top of his house. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, I always admired that.  - Bob G.
