He was the beloved son of Kathleen M. Doyle of Providence, RI and Robert E. Doyle of Marshfield, MA. Rob is also survived by his brother Michael P. Doyle and his wife Julie of Woonsocket, RI; his sister Karen L. Morrissey and her husband Mark of Cranston, RI. In addition, Rob also leaves behind a stepmother, Karen M. Doyle of Marshfield, MA. and a stepbrother Kristopher Collins of Coral Springs, FL. He was the devoted and loving uncle to his niece Madison Doyle, and to his nephews Garrett Doyle and Owen Morrissey. Rob also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rob was born and raised in North Providence, RI and had a childhood full of friendship and adventures. He made countless friends in his neighborhood and throughout his school years and beyond. Rob had a deep love for music, particularly the Dave Matthews Band and 311 among many others. He graduated from St. Raphael’s Academy in Pawtucket, RI.
Rob’s passion for skiing led him to Colorado, where he spent much of his time on the slopes or golfing. Though he loved living in Colorado, he never lost his love for Rhode Island. He particularly enjoyed the beach on a hot summer day, spending time with friends and family and sharing a pizza from his much loved Twin’s Pizza.
While in Colorado, Robert formed close bonds with many friends who became like family to him. His family is profoundly grateful to those friends for embracing him and treating him with love and kindness through the years.
Robert was employed in many different capacities in the retail clothing and sales industries for many years, both in RI and Colorado. He was a dedicated New England sports fan spending most of his free time watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics, always willing to share his insights on how they could improve.
Rob should be remembered for being an adventurous spirit who made a lasting impression on all he knew. He will be sorely missed by those he loved, both in Colorado and Rhode Island.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be held on June 29th at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road in Cranston, RI at 11 a.m.
