Rose Vernette Mattics, was born on August 2, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to beloved parents John E. and Norma Amelia (Johnson) Estep. Rose met and married her loving husband Jay Perry Mattics while he was serving in the United States Navy. They then returned to Hugo, Colorado. Rose was a passionate Homemaker and House wife, she was so proud raising 4 loving children. She was called to Heaven on December 18, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband Jay Perry Mattics, and loving daughter Toni (Mattics) Nelson. She is survived by her loving children Ronald Mattics, Barbara (Steve) Dunston and Louis (Sandra) Mattics; son-in-law Ralph Nelson Jr. (deceased Toni Nelson), 8 grandchildren Mathew, Dennis, Jeff, Wesley, Shane, Tyka, Christopher and Venessa; 10 great-grandchildren Errik, Briana, Mickaela, Logan, India, Jadoni, Chandler, Tegan, Alicia and Jordan; As well as numerous nieces; nephews and countless friends.
