Steven Lee Waldron was born February 12, 1948 (Sharing his birthday with the likes of President Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin.) He was the second of two children born to the late Lee and Eleanor Waldron. Steve was a good student and won the school Spelling Bee when he was in elementary school. He graduated with honors from Regis High School, where he participated in the Chess Club (second best player) and was a state champion Wrestler at 95lbs weight class, and a Cross Country Runner. After graduation from high school in 1966, Steve articulated to Colorado State University. After graduation, Steve served his country honorably in the United States Army: Combat Medic, US Army Airborne Course, awarded Paratrooper Silver Wings, National Defense Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon. He was a Specialist 4, who served in Korea DMZ. He had a short assignment in the US Army Special Forces; the Colorado National Guard. However, the majority of the time he served as a Medic. Per Steve… he was known as the horniest soldier in the company. Steve achieved a Journeyman Iron Worker rating after a 4-year apprentice program. A special story about Steve was the time he, “plead the Fifth” against self-incrimination. During his retirement Steve enjoyed driving Uber.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Becky Ingram, his dear friends: Chris Greenburg and Steve Shombell (Steve served in the military with Steve) and Mark Linstrom; his brother Bill Waldron, and a host of other relatives and friends.
