William Charlie Dean

William Charlie Dean was born on September 13,1939 to Percy and Blanche Dean. William was the last born to the Dean Family. He passed away at the age of 82, on June 5, 2022 in Denver, Colorado. William is survived by his wife, Maria Dean; one son, Justin William Dean and one daughter, Geneva Joyce Dean; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Mr. Dean moved to Kansas City, Missouri as a young man to be with family. He later relocated to Denver, CO, where he dedicated his life to serving and protecting the citizens of Colorado. Mr. Dean later joined the City of Boulder Police Department, where he was a police officer for over 26 years. He was the first African American to become a police officer in the state of Colorado. Mr. Dean was an entrepreneur throughout his life, running and owning numerous businesses in the metro area. Most of all, he enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Dean was loved by all that knew him. He was a kind and trustworthy man, always a straight-talker, and willing to offer advice to all that were seeking it.

Being a straight-talker, Mr. Dean requested no formal services be held at this time. The family suggests that for those who knew Mr. Dean, to do any activity that may have been your favorite activity together, in his memory.

Mr. Dean will be greatly missed, as now he is at peace telling his stories to all in HEAVEN!!!
