William Robert (Bob) Guest, 84, of Aurora, CO, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation – Aurora. He was born in Rosebud, TX, December 1931 to John and Zola Mae Guest. He met and married Connie, the love of his life, in 1954 and together had four sons: David (Kristi), Jerry (Gwen), Richard (Loretta), and Keith (d) (MariKay).
Bob grew up in the Waco, TX, area with his two brothers, John (d) and Donald, before enlisting into the US Navy. After suffering through bouts of seasickness, Bob decided to change services and had a distinguished military career in the US Air Force. During his service, he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and other numerous awards and recognitions. Bob’s extensive knowledge and experience as an Aircraft Weapons System instructor kept him in high demand and sent him to many locations – tours in Thailand, the Philippines, Okinawa, and several state-side locations.
After his retirement, he started a new career working for his long-time friend, Lee Watson, at Megg’s Mobile Home Sales as the service manager. Bob used this opportunity to self-educate himself on plumbing and electrical systems and made several upgrades to the family home.
He was survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
