

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Kelvin Pittman, who left us on Monday March 31, 2025. Born June 6, 1960, Alan was a wonderful brother, a cherished friend, and a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many during his 64 years.
Alan overcame great adversity during his life and demonstrated remarkable resilience. He approached every challenge with determination, impressing those around him with his inner strength. A kind and trusting person, he deeply enjoyed being included in family occasions.
Throughout his journey, Alan cultivated a rich and fulfilling life, marked by his passions, achievements, and the relationships with those around him. He was a great lover of Canadian railways and spent endless hours customizing his model train collection and layout. He loved listening to the Beatles, watching 60’s sitcoms, Hollywood movies, professional wrestling, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He enjoyed driving his car and the many vacations he accompanied his father on. Caring for his beloved cats Chelsea and previously Sylvie provided him with companionship, while his job at PLM/Transcontinental gave him the sense of purpose from performing a useful role in the plant. The relationships and support of his co-workers and supervisors was of tremendous importance in his life.
Predeceased by his parents Brian and Doreen and cousin Lindsey, Alan is survived by his brothers John (Alice) and Robert (Janice), nephew Derek (Erin), nieces Emily,and Kayla, step-nephew Timothy, step-niece Amy (Travis), great-nieces Gillian (Al) and Legacy (Caleb), great-nephews Jett and Dash, and cousins Jacquie (Dave) and Shirley (Paul).
A Celebration of Life for Alan will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM ( Words of Remembrance at 2 PM) at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8, where family, friends, and colleagues will gather to honour his memory and share stories of their time with him.
Reunited with those who passed before him, Alan will forever remain in our hearts and will live on in our memories.
Rest in peace, dear Alan. You are deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
