Anneliese Mitchell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anneliese on March 20th, 2012 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Mel Mitchell and wonderful “Mutti” to Annelie Hugli (Werner), Christine Valentini (Mike) and Bettina Hasemann (Klaus) and Stepmom to Allyson and Ian Mitchell, and Marianne Eriksen.

Proud Oma to grandchildren Natasha, David, Michelle, Yvonne, Stefan and Victoria and also to great-grandchildren Christian, Ashlyn, Krystal, Erika, Nicholas, Jacob, Jonas, Tasia and to so many other relatives and friends.

Anneliese was a member and volunteer of the Aurora Senior Centre and the Knotty Knitters. She was immensely talented, enjoying crochet and handicrafts, although crocheting, dancing and doing jigsaw puzzles were her biggest passions.

She accepted life’s trials with grace and strength, touching the hearts of so many and leaving numerous happy and precious memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Aurora Thompson Funeral Home on May 14, 2012. at 1:30 pm
