Hi Mom 

I just want to say how popular you are.  We had a Celebration of Life for you at the Aurora Seniors Centre and it was a beautiful afternoon.  I said a speech about you and called it Barbara's Story. The Aurora Thursday Singing Group sang 6 songs and humoured the guests.  They are a wonderful group.  I can see why you wanted to be with them every Thursday morning.  Then some of your friends spoke about you and gave you so many compliments.  We also served lots of food.  The Seniors Centre really want to establish a Friendship Circle Garden in your honour.  I hope one day this happens.  Well that's all I have to say except that I miss you.

Barbara always saved my mom, Margaret Rozsa, a chair beside her at the Aurora Seniors Centre singing group. She was an absolute ray of sunshine, genuinely a pleasure to know. My mom passed just days after Barbara so hopefully they are singing together upstairs. With deepest condolences,

Sending my heart felt condolences to the Stoecklin family, especially my friend Bridget.  Barbara will continue to shine in our hearts with memories of her big beautiful smile.  She to me was a kind and gentle soul who welcomed me into her home and made me feel part of the family.  She saw the good in people and had a way of making you see it in yourself.  I shall take this time to honour her memory with positive thoughts.  When I think of Barbara hopefully my smile becomes as big and as engaging as hers always was.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I did have the opportunity to meet her at a hockey game. Her involvement in the community is amazing. May memories  help you and your family.

You've been in my thoughts since Jo shared the sad news about your mother. No matter how old you are, this is a life changing event. I remember feeling like an "old orphan" when my mom passed. You've been such a trooper through the whole thing, don't forget to look after yourself. Take care and hopefully we will see each other soon.

So sorry to hear about Barbara passing away. She was a great person. I enjoyed being on the Board of Aurora Senior Association with her and her smile, kind way of conduct herself at all time showed what a nice person she was. Barbara will be missed by so many people.

A bright light has been extinguished and we will miss her welcoming, friendly smile and conversation.
Barbara worked tirelessly for the betterment of her community, was kind and generous with her time, and accepted all challenges that were presented to her.
During her tenure at the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, she accepted the challenge handed to us by the then Mayor, the late John West.
In 1987, Barbara single handedly sold most exhibitor space for the very first Chamber Home Show.  
In April of this year, the 30th Home Show will be held in Aurora!

Barbara was such a friendly, wise and welcoming women. Her friendly and lighthearted wit and engaging humor made her such a pleasure to converse with. I always looked forward to engaging her in a conversation and seeing her smile. What a wonderful person.

Barbara was a great Sorority sister of mine and a wonderful tennis partner.  I was so sorry to hear of her passing.  A true lady who never complained about anything, soft spoken and warm with twinkling eyes and an infectious smile. Barbara was an intellige5, very amiable and sympathetic lady who always had time for you. I was introduced to her by my first neighbour after moving to Aurora in 1971 and have known her over the years. She will be greatly missed.

Very sad to hear about Barbara, first that she was ill in hospital and then that she had died. We had our final bridge game with Barbara in November and she was still her usual self. I played bridge with Barbara for many years and will miss her very much. My condolences to her family. Sandra
