Dawn Helene (Orchard) Sauer passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024 the day before her 85th birthday at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket. Dawn will be remembered by her grandson Thomas, sons, Fred and Karl (Beverly), her brothers Angus (Thelma) and Ian (Debbie), her former husband Gerhard, extended family and her dear friends.
Dawn was born in Kandy (Ceylon). She arrived in Canada with her family on September 10, 1955. Dawn loved Canada, and was a proud Canadian. She lived in Aurora since February 1961 and was charitable with her time, she enjoyed knitting,and donated her knitting to various charities in York Region. Dawn loved travelling Europe and her adventures with her grandson.
Until the end Dawn maintained kindness, grace, compassion and appreciation for life, love for all.
In the end Dawn wanted to thank everyone who had touched her life. Her family is comforted in knowing that she was very comfortable with her life and relationships
