Emma Lynne Wiedemeyer

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Lynne Wiedemeyer. Survived by her beloved children; Adrianna, Adaine, Bella, and Damian. She is deeply missed by her father George, sisters Violet and Roberta, and her late mother Shirley. Emma is lovingly remembered by many friends and extended relatives.

Emma was passionate, with a fiery spirit. She loved intensely and was fiercely loyal, standing up for everyone who she loved even if they did not know it. As a child she was enamored with the outdoors, and carried this passion for the natural world throughout her life. Her four beautiful children were her greatest pride.

Adopted as young children, Emma and her older sister Violet were joyfully welcome into the Wiedemeyer family. Emma's father fondly recalls that as a child, whenever she was feeling frustrated, Emma would pack up her tiny toy suitcase and stand outside her parents' home in Aurora, Ontario. "Where are you going Emma?" he would ask. "To California," she would always reply.

As the sun shines on Emma in heaven, her spirit lives on in our memories. They say heaven is a beautiful natural oasis, for Emma we know it looks a lot like California.

A celebration of life for Emma will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora.
