Eva was a devoted and deeply loving mother to Sarah (Rob) Cote and Amanda (Kevin) Watson, and the very best “G” to her cherished grandchildren, Everleigh, Collins, and Cruz. She was a beloved sister to Stan Pasternak and an adoring daughter to Janina and the late Stanley Pasternak. Eva was also the loving life partner of Rheal Duprey, with whom she shared companionship, laughter and unwavering support.
Despite her courageous battle with cancer for more than seven years, Eva remained vibrant, warm and full of life. She embraced her later years by celebrating meaningful milestones, including her daughter’s wedding, the birth of two grandchildren and fulfilling a lifelong dream of a European riverboat cruise. Eva had a remarkable ability to find joy in everyday moments, even in the face of health challenges.
Known as the “hostess with the mostest,” Eva loved bringing people together. She found happiness in a lively game of euchre with friends, time spent around the bonfire at the cottage and cozy nights on the couch watching a good - or wonderfully bad - movie. Above all, Eva was immensely proud of her daughters and grandchildren. That pride, along with her love, kindness, and warmth, will remain forever in their hearts. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit and memory will live on through them.
