Many years ago, Irma met the love of her life, Carlos, with whom she raised five children. Carlos introduced Irma to the game of Bridge, a card game that became her passion. With dedication and natural talent, Irma excelled in Bridge, proudly representing Trinidad and Tobago on the international stage and achieving the prestigious rank of Life Master.
In 1983, after Carlos succumbed to illness, Irma—driven and resilient—made a bold decision to start anew in Canada. She enrolled at Seneca College, where she took courses and refined her professional abilities. Her efforts led to a distinguished career at RBC, where she served as an Executive Assistant to the Senior VP of Payroll Technologies. A symbol of elegance and professionalism, Irma stood out for her impeccable attire and exceptional work ethic, always running a tight ship that her numerous subordinates can attest to. She continued to shine in her role until her well-deserved retirement.
Outside her professional pursuits, Bridge remained a constant passion in Irma's life. She actively participated in clubs and engaged in weekly bridge games, showcasing her strategic prowess and love for the game. In retirement Irma also discovered Hockey and was an avid Leafs fan. Her presence was unmistakable during game nights, as she voiced her opinions to the referees, often serving as the team’s unofficial coach.
