To the Family of Dwayne Lougheed

We extend our condolences to all of you - Marion, Debbie, Laurie,  Beth and your families in the home-going of Dwayne.  It is with regret that we were unable to physically support you at this time.  Nevertheless, you were in our thoughts and prayers.  We trust that as the days move forward, the depth of the pain in the loss of Dad, Grandpa and friend will lessen and the good memories will fill the void.
When I think of your Dad, I can't help but recall his love for ice cream!  Most often, when we indulge in the sweet delight, your Dad comes to mind.  Oh, how he loved his ice cream!!!
We wish you all peace of heart in the days ahead and trust you will find comfort as you gather together.
With our prayers for grace and comfort as you take this journey, we wish you blessings from the hand of our heavenly Father.

So sorry to hear of Dwayne's passing. He was such a good friend to my Dad, Mac and an excellent driving teacher. He always had a smile on his face and good things to say.

Thinking of all of you and wishing we could be there to share our sympathies. Uncle Dwayne always wore a smile, offered a knuckle screwdriver jab to the ribs or a horse fly bit behind the knee cap - his way of connecting with charisma and playfulness! 

As nephews, we loved to have him come out and throw pitches to us as we played at Grandma and Grandpa's place. He could throw Oxford with heat!

He was never at a loss for words and always in the mood to stir Grandpa's emotions (poke the bear). His undying devotion to Grandma was always evident and voiced in his affectionate and long drawn out,  "Maa". 

We'll never know whether some of his stories were actually true or simply fabricated for the entertainment value, but we enjoyed them all nonetheless. But we always knew where he stood on car manufacturers and ice cream!

Uncle Dwayne will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Dwayne's family.

I worked with Dwayne back in the 80's at MTHA, and remember him fondly, especially his great sense of  humour.

Although this is a difficult time, remember all the happy, funny and loving times you spent with Dwayne, and they will lessen the sense of loss and sadness.



Lori, I was so sorry to hear about your Dad, I have terrific memories of my time spent with him and your Mom.   My condolences to you, Brian and the rest of your family.  He will be missed. 

Debbie and Gary.  I'm so very sorry to hear of Dwayne's passing. He was a consumate gentleman and us girls at RP always looked forward to his site visits.  He always took the time to explain the work, and which contractors to keep an eye on, and he always had a funny and sometimes juicy story to tell. I'll never forget his kindness when I bought my first home.  He overheard me telling other staff that we'd like to add a second bathroom at some point. Next time he came for a site visit he said he had a toilet and sink, and when would I like him to come and install. Then he charged me a ridiculously low amount which included digging up the basement floor and laying new pipe. I know he loved his kids and grandkids very much and he will be missed very much by the family. 

I was saddened to hear of this. Dwayne and my father were friends in their younger days; his name was in a contact book he had maintained and we reminisced for some time when I let him know about Dad’s passing.

To the family, our deepest condolences for the passing of Dwayne, our driver instructor. For a few months during the summertime, he picked us up in his 1994 Red Hyundai. He was very patient, kind, wonderful and he was never late for all of his appointments. We passed our driving tests with flying colours. He knows all the staff at Bloomington Road, so we felt that they passed our exams because they knew Dwayne as a friend. We will certainly miss his smile. Rest in Peace Dwayne. I was saddened to hear of Dwayne's passing. I worked with him at Community Guardian, and later in my career Dwayne was my boss, at The Metropolitan Toronto Housing Authority.

 He was a great man to work for, and many times he told people that we worked together, he was not my boss. He was a pleasure to work with.  He gave me many opportunities to expand my Security knowledge, 
Dwayne was a very nice human being, and will be missed by so many. My sincerest condolences to his extended family.

I had the pleasure to work with Dwayne at Community Guardian Co. Ltd and MTHA Security. I knew Dwayne as a kind caring person, truly interested in the safety & security of the communities we served.

We are saddened to hear of your loss and our hearts go out to you at this very difficult time.  May your sorrow be lightened by the great memories of your father and the love that surrounds your family.

Dwayne and I worked together at MTHA for several years.  Dwayne was a kind gentle soul and with his dry sense of humour, he could make you smile at any time. His demeanour was always in check, even at the worst of times. He was very well liked. Should you ever require a pen and/or a magic marker, just ask Dwayne 😂. I have such fond memories of Dwayne, that there are too many to mention. Farewell my Friend, God only knows when we will meet again, RIP. Irwin Peters

So many fond memories of Dwayne and it is with deep sadness that I have learned of his passing. Both my father (also now passed away) and I worked with Dwayne at Community Guardian Co. and then later, MTHA in-house. Both of us held Dwayne in high regard and respect.

When my first wife was pregnant, I insisted she get her drivers license and Dwayne was her instructor. I informed her of Dwayne's passing and in her reply, she wrote, "I have fond memories of his patience with me."

I will not be able to attend the funeral sadly, as I am in Greece, but I do send my thoughts and  deep condolences to the family  across the miles. 


I am saddened to hear of Dwayne's passing. Dwayne was a kind and giving person, who will sorely missed....condolences to the whole Lougheed family
