(John) Allan Moffatt, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 19, 2024 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of his late wife, Joan Moffatt, proud father of Judy and Laura and doting Papa to Tyler, Adam and Kyle.
Allan worked at the Globe and Mail newspaper for 44 years as photographer, dark room technician and assistant photo editor.
He enjoyed day trips with his girls and later his grandsons and seemed to have a camera (photo or movie) in his hands more often than not. He enjoyed reading, movies and music and became fond of gardening in his retirement years.
A visitation for Allan will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.
Private interment at St. John’s Cemetery in the Township of Mono at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Lung Association or Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated.
