Peacefully at home at Sunrise of Aurora on August 26, 2012 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn. Loving father of Scott, Vicky (Paul Oliver), and Arden (Jeff Spicer). Dear granddad of Kaitlyn, Erin, Justin, Kimberly, Jake and Nicholas. Brother of the late Lenore Mundy, and brother in law to Dianne and Ken Canavan. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. Retired Executive at Prudential Insurance Company of America. Old Blue Eyes will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love of music and Ford cars, his unwavering support of his Toronto Blue Jays and his Alma Mater, University of Western Ontario, playing Bridge and Curling at the St. George’s G & CC, and spending time at the cottage with Marilyn and family. Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, (north east corner of Yonge St. & Industrial Pkwy. S.), Aurora, on Thursday, August 30th, 2012 from 11am – 12pm. Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12pm. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunrise of Aurora. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.
