Dear Meaghan and David, I was saddened to learn of your father's passing. He was a wonderful Manager to work for at RBCDS. I have very fond memories of those years at RBP25 in the early 1990's. He was always supportive and interested in seeing his "rookies" succeed. His kindness,humour and genuine concern for others will always be remembered. He is in my prayers.

I worked for Jim many years ago on RBP 25. It was a great office to work in, and I remember him fondly. He was funny, caring, and always made you feel important. It was a great time in my life, and I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.

Jim helped me a great deal at the start of my career at RBC DS and I will forever be grateful for his guidance and support.  He holds a special place in my heart and I will remember him always for his kindness, generosity, and integrity.  My condolences to your family.

Jim Reid was a gentleman of the old order, and he tried, over many years, to pass on this trait to his charges, sometimes with great frustration. Jim and I shared Management responsibilities for several years, and he was famous for beginning our branch meetings with three quotes from three different icons of history, and challenging the group to identify them. He loved doing this, and we were all much wiser as a result. His knowledge of history was amazing, and I shall miss him deeply. A scotch between the two of us was not a rare occasion.  To Meaghan and David, be proud of your father, a fine and decent man. Ed Walzak, Hamilton Ont.

I worked with Jim for many years @ RBCDS & am very sorry to learn of his passing. He was a man of integrity charm. It is a big loss to all who knew & loved him. My sincere condolences to Meaghan, David & family.

I remember Meghan's dad (Jim ) fondly!! Sitting at the table for dinner was always very enlightening with a lot of laughs!! My deepest sympathies!!!
